What is it about forts that feels so magical? When we were little my mom let my sister and I make forts looking out into the backyard on rainy afternoons.
So awesome. :)
I love google.... it found these amazing pictures of forts I would kill to hang out in! I don't know if mine as a child ever looked this creative.... but in my head they sure did!

Another Monday...

Tomorrow is Monday already. The weekends fly by SO fast!
There are a lot of things I'm grateful for, like my wonderful family, sweet boyfriend and happiness all around... and also having a job (in this economy, nonetheless!:) that I'm happy to get back to on Monday mornings!
I work at a childrens theater in San Diego, costuming plays and managing our stock of hundreds of costumes from years gone by (64, to be exact!). It's such a creative and productive place filled with great spirit and life, and the imagination that is born there, whether its the sets, lights, costumes, or the childrens magnificent gusto, is totally jaw-dropping.
I'm a lucky girl. :)
I gathered some photos to share with you that will initiate your imagination, like this unlikely, yet compeltely beloved job at the theater does for me.

It's that time again...

Last winter I was lucky enough to snag the job as the costume designer for a production of Pippi Longstocking in Balboa Park. It was insane and completely wonderful, all rolled into one! The kids were adorable, and everyone I got to work with were all faces I was sad not to see every day when it ended!
Well as my luck would have it I get to come back and costume another play! This time, it is the musical for the well-known childrens book, Pinkalicious!

I couldn't be more excited!! Stay posted for more pictures as the play gets closer! <3
As always, check out my etsy store for some cute new additions, including some autumn jackets and boys shirts for fall!
